Every session is fully managed and designed to be fun for complete beginners and experienced drivers alike.
Our short private group sessions are available as part of scheduled IslaySims Race Days or when multiple sessions are booked at the same venue on the same day.

The instructor will explain how the session will run as well as show you have the simulator works, basic driving tips and what track/car you’ll be using.
Two drivers go at a time for their practice / qualifying session. Lap times are recorded, these will decide who races who in the head-to-head races.
Semi-Final 1 = 1st fastest vs 2nd fastest
Semi-Final 2 = 3rd fastest vs 4th fastest
3rd Place Race = Semi-final losers race for 3rd place.
Grand Final = Semi-final winners race for 1st place.
Each driver gets approximately 18–22 minutes of simulator time across practice and races.

Silver Final = 3rd vs 4th
Gold Final = 1st vs 2nd
The winner of the Gold Final wins the Grand Prix Experience.
Each driver gets approximately 17–20 minutes of simulator time across practice, a heat race and a final race.
Please note: IslaySims is a portable simulator experience and requires setup time. Short sessions are only available during scheduled Race Days or where at least 3 sessions are booked at the same venue on the same day. For single-location private hire, please choose Half-Day or Full-Day Event Hire.
Because our simulator setup takes around 2 hours to install and around 1 hour to pack away, short sessions are normally run as part of scheduled Race Days or multi-session bookings.
For private parties, business events, venues, community events, and exclusive hire, our event packages are the best option.
